An entrepreneur through and through, David started his love story with the lifestyle industry at Grosvenor House Hotel, attending their 4 year Management Training Course.

In 1998 Johnstone founded the first company of many, The Savile Row of Taylor Made England, a Lifestyle Management Company.

His experience from the world of lifestyle allowed Johnstone to successfully set up the The Renaissance Club, a social club with more than 10,000 members. After more than 300 parties over 4 years, Johnstone moved on to organising the Super Car Rally of RMA in 2000, co-organising The Children’s Party at the Palace for HRH Queen’s 80th birthday and launch Key-2 Luxury in 2004.

Key-2 Luxury grew to over 100,000 VIP key ring holders with access to thousands of unique global VIP privileges with premium retailers, clubs, bars, hotels and service providers. Johnstone went on to create Free Holdings, Pearl DME, Palladium PR and UNITY Magazine.

In 2009 Johnstone’s focus on philanthropy started. He ran The Global Party until 2014, raising more than £3.5 million for local charitable causes, through more than 1,200 parties in 263 cities. Johnstone collaborated with some of the owners of world leading venues including The Orient Express, The Marbella Club and Taj Mahal Palace. One of the highlights was the launch party at the National History Museum in London with over 2,000 guests in 2011 creating big headlines.

As founder and trustee of The Global Charity Trust, Johnstone’s mission is to create global awareness and help raise unrestricted funds for thousands of worldwide causes with a focus on children, education, the environment, the elderly, health and animal welfare.

Since 2015 Johnstone mainly focuses on CharitableBookings.com a travel and lifestyle platform with a heart. As a business with a social purpose, CharitableBookings.com, in partnership with Booking.com, help raise unrestricted funds directly for charities with every hotel, villa or apartment booking.

Johnstone’s latest project, The CharitableBookings.com Big Secret Gift, is a multi-billion global campaign, the largest initiative of its kind. Together with the travel, hospitality and retail industries, CharitableBookings.com aim to give a Big Secret Gift to each of the 50 million charity workers, volunteers and trustees worldwide, to show appreciation, and simply to say THANK YOU!
